Why Start Young Play Created:
Start Young Play was born out of a simple yet powerful vision: to help children overcome their fear of water and embrace it as a source of joy and endless possibilities.
Our founder, a dedicated swim coach with over a decade of experience, saw countless children struggle with water anxiety. She discovered that the key to helping them thrive wasn’t just teaching swimming techniques but creating a space where they could play, laugh, and feel safe. What is Start Young Parties and Events?
Start Young is a party and event center specializing in children’s birthday
parties and special events. We provide excellent service to make your child’s
party a memorable experience. Start Young is an organized and personalized
party center where the birthday child is always the center of attention. One or
more of our “Party Entertainers” is always assigned for your party or event.
They organize the party, lead the games, and provide everything to ensure your
child has a birthday to remember.
What age group is Start Young for?
We have interactive activities for all age groups. Each party and event is
customized to fit your needs. While the majority of our birthday parties are for
children ages 1-10, we also cater to tweens, teens, and adults.
What are your hours?
We are generally open for private parties and events. However, we
occasionally have limited open play and other special events posted on our
Instagram.
What should participants wear?
Participants should wear proper swimwear that is only allowed in the pool.
Children below 5 must wear swim diapers as recommended. Please check
with Start Young for more details on the recommended diaper brand and
proper swimwear. Jewelry, glasses, and sharp objects will be placed aside
during pool play, so it’s best to leave them at home.
Can I stop by and get a tour?
Of course! We’d be happy to show you around our awesome indoor sharky
pool. However, Start Young @ Happy Fish is usually only open when we have
scheduled events, so call ahead at 9695 8126 to ensure we are on-site for
your tour.
Can I bring my own decorations to my kid’s party?
Yes, you are allowed to bring your own decorations. Please take home any
decorations you bring to Start Young @ Happy Fish. Silly string, confetti,
piñatas, and streamers are not allowed. An additional cleaning fee may be
assessed for excessive cleanup or damage
Can I bring my own food to the party?
You can bring your own birthday cake. However, we do not allow any other
outside food and/or beverages. Ice cream cake is not permitted
What happens if I don't have my own venue to host the pool party?
Worry not, we’ve got you covered! You can host your ideal party at our venue
at Happy Fish Bedok (Home). Check with Start Young for venue details
Does Start Young Sharky Playground have a private party room?
We don’t have a room, but your party will have its own private sitting area for
serving pizza, fruit platter, fried rice, finger food, and cake.
What's included in a Start Young Party?

What food is included in the party packages?
Mini pizza, fruit platter, fried rice, sandwiches, finger food such as nuggets, fries, fish balls, etc., and drink choice are all included with your package. The quantity of food items depends on the package selected. All foods are halal
certified. Additional food and beverages may be purchased in advance for adults.
How do I reserve my kid’s party with Start Young?
Please contact Start Young via WhatsApp and pay the required deposit. No
checks, please
If I need to reschedule or cancel my kid’s party, can I get a refund on my deposit?
Please contact Start Young for their reschedule and cancellation policy.
What if I have more guests than the total amount stated in the package?
Additional kids can be accommodated for an additional cost per child. Please
contact Start Young for pricing details. If your party exceeds the stated
number of guests, you should consider a larger package. Our space can
comfortably host up to about 45 guests, but we need to be prepared in
advance to maintain staff-to-child ratios for safety.
When do I need to place my food order for the party?
To ensure timely delivery, we require a final headcount 72 hours in advance. If
you need to make adjustments after providing the final count, please be aware
that the timing of the delivery may be delayed.
When do I need to provide Start Young with a final headcount?
You need to provide us with a final headcount 72 hours prior to the party. This
will allow us to make any final adjustments to your party package. After the
72-hour deadline, the package cannot be altered, and the remainder of your
balance will be charged at the end of the party. There are no exceptions.
Who serves the food at my party?
Your party pro will serve the food and handle the clean-up unless specified by
the host.

From start to finish, they truly delivered a seamless, one-stop service that made planning and executing a birthday party feel effortless. They took care of every detail — from designing personalized invitations to ordering food and drinks and even preparing goodie bags.
What really stood out was how stress-free the entire experience was. I didn’t have to worry about coordinating any aspect of the event. Big shoutout to Zinnie and team who took care of everything, leaving me to simply enjoy watching my kids and her friends having fun. I highly recommend leaving it to the experts. Looking for a fuss free pool party? This is the best place to come, rain or shine! My daughter celebrated her birthday party here- you can choose from a variety of pool packages. We had exclusive use of the 0.9m deep pool for around 2 hours. The pool set up had inflatable slides, boats and all sorts of fun water play gear. Most importantly, there were 4 facilitators in the pool to ensure safety and to coordinate water activities. There were also additional staff to help with set up, cake cutting and making sure all the guests were attended to. We all had a whale of a time 😉 Plenty of shower stalls to bathe and change after. Highly recommend!!!
I may have procrastinated on writing this review since February, but the incredible experience we had with Start Young deserves to be shared.
We celebrated my twin boys’ 7th birthday at Wild Wild Wet, and Start Young team made it such a smooth and memorable event from start to finish. From the get-go, Christina was wonderful—she handled all the prep work and communication with me so patiently and efficiently, even accommodating my last-minute requests up to the eleventh hour.
On the day of the party, I remember texting Christina that it felt strange not having to do much—because they had everything under control. For once, I could just enjoy the party and be present with my boys and guests.
A big shoutout also to Zinnie and her team, who were amazing with the kids and ensured our guests were well taken care of. Their energy, attentiveness, and warmth really made a difference.
Not forgetting—they even arranged a photographer to capture all the great moments! It was such a thoughtful touch, and now we have so many wonderful photos to look back on.

We hosted my daughter’s 10th birthday party at Wild Wild Wet – it was fun, well-organized, and I could relax and enjoy it! Zinnie was an excellent host, and Pei Yun, Qistina, and Shanna all made sure everyone was having a good time. I also got the photography add-on and I am happy with the great pictures! Recommend for a great kids’ event from start to finish.

We had the most amazing day at Wild Wild Wet celebrating my son’s 9th birthday with his friends! Kudos to Start Young for throwing a fantastic party for us and taking care of EVERYTHING, from decorating the cabana to preparing the food to guiding the kids to play all over the waterpark (really not an easy feat managing so many energetic youngsters!), so my husband and I could just relax and enjoy ourselves. Our party host Mee Ling, lead facilitator Anson and all the rest of the facilitators were really friendly and kept the party running smoothly from start to end, even when there was a power outage in Downtown East and they had to make new arrangements for our snacks. I was really impressed that the team was so well coordinated, communicating constantly to take photos of the kids having fun in every activity, even on the rides! Really appreciate that the photographer was also part of the party package – and the photos were amazing! Everyone had so much fun. Truly a day to remember. Thank you Start Young for doing such an amazing job!
Amazing pool party organisers !! I’m so happy I found Christina from Start Young for my son’s bday celebrations!! She was extremely responsive and accomodating. Besides helping with the pool party equipment, she also helped with the return gifts to fit the theme!
